Hello All,
(South) Korean-made 1/144th scale plastic model kits of the KARI (Korea Aerospace Research Institute) Naro-1 satellite launch vehicle (see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naro-1 ) are available on eBay (see: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Asem-Hobby-Korea-Space-satellite-Rocket-NARO-Aero-Military-Plastic-Model-/180800661348?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2a188f2764 ) for $15.99 each, which includes *free* shipping to the USA (similar rates may be available to Canada and the UK). This model might make a good PMC (Plastic Model Conversion) model rocket contest entry. At 1/144th scale, it is approximately 9" long and 0.825" in diameter. It has two opposing fins (or fin-like appendages, perhaps for venting excess propellants?), so two additional clear plastic fins at 90 degrees to the existing ones would make the model aerodynamically stable.
