Finally an easier way to clone some classic Estes rockets. Estes has released a 5 pack of their sci-fi style nose cones. Now you can clone an Odyssey without having to buy a Dark Energy rocket just for the nosecone.

Yeah, that's a really impressive set of nosecones, and the price is very reasonable. Hat's off to Estes for this set.

That's great.

What hobbyist need is a company to sell a packet of ALL of the NASA manned capsules and nose cones AND the wraps to go with them.

They don't have to have a complete line of NASA kits, just sell the parts and wraps and please, use PLASTIC or RESIN.

I had the same trouble until I chose the proper shipping method, which is easy to miss.

Try that, Gordy...

I clicked on "standard shipping" still no luck.

It just seems to stay on "logging in" to PayPal.

And those wraps should never be self-adhesive. Water slide decals ONLY!!!
(only one possible exception... the Mercury Atlas' chrome wraps)

Well, I keep trying.

I can get into PayPal OK but not through Estes checkout.

It stays on "logging in to PayPal" but never gets there.

Hey, Estes...What gives?

I sure would like to get a set but...it won't go...

I too have had a problem with Estes and Paypal. I ordered BT's and paprachutes many months ago, never got the items, never got a refund. In fact, Estes has no record of the transaction or of the order even though Paypal does. I put in a claim, but the time ran out on it a few weeks ago.

I'll just have to eat it.

There's a clear plastic paylod tube assortment coming soon also.

(3) BT-20, (3) BT-50, and (3) BT-60

Nice! ---except I'd be willing to trade the (3) BT-20 tubes for (1) BT-55 tube.

Looks like I'll have to call Christine tomorrow.

No luck at all getting Estes to take PayPal.

Not a great way to run a web site.

So even though Estes does accept PayPal is EVERYONE saying that PayPal doens't work on the Estes site?

If this is the case I would contact Estes and Post comments up on the Face Book Page.

John, I have PayPal but I'm not on Facebook.

I sent an email but I'll just call tomorrow.

It's not like I urgently need anything...I have time.

When you go all the way through the checkout it leaves you on the Paypal page and just loads...but never gets you into PayPal.

I can get into PayPal from say my email or any other site it's just the link at the end of the Estes check.

I'm thinking it's some kind of glitch on there site.

Like I said, no hurry, I'll call tomorrow.

Seems to me I had this problem before, but I can't remember if it was the Estes site or Apogee. IRC, it ended up being my pop-up blocker or some such. You may want to try disabling the blocker when you attempt to check out.

Good Luck.

That's what I was hoping to hear. I know Pay Pal has been working since Estes can track sales. I just wasn't sure if PayPal went down on the website or not. Hopefully the problem is just with the end users and not the website itself.

Look at that! Three days later and I got my nose cones!

Nice set! 5 SCI FI nose cones

Does anybody know what kit the small BT-50 windshield nose cone was made for?

It's sort of like the PNC-50SP used in the Argosy and a bunch of other kits but it's an ogive cone, not conical but shorter too.

I'll post a picture later.

The BT50 cone is from the Screaming Eagle Kit #2117.
