He is also the first attorney general to ever be held in contempt of congress.

Voting alone will no solve the problem regardless of who one votes for. Democrat, Republican or the No Nothing Party are distinctions without a difference in large measure. Stocking up on ammunition won't work either.

Thanks for posting that. I watched the clip, which was more than enough. It clearly illustrates that the president views the congress with contempt and by extension, us. What absolutely amazes me is that there are people in that audience who are enthusiastically applauding this (what I am forbidden to say).

That would be in violation of the separation of powers, would it not? But I don't think it would stop this particular president judging by his past history. I'm beginning to wonder if he will step aside when his term expires.

I have wondered about the same thing since his first term. I figured if the Democrats won a majority in the house and senate they would find some way to exempt Mr. Obama from the 22nd amendment.

I agree that it's a separation of powers issue, but I'm pretty sure this is as well.

Congress agrees that it is an overstep.
The president then vetoes that Congresses decision that his executive action is an overstep.

If a president decides that a Bill enacted by Congress should not become law, he/she/it can veto such Bill. If both houses of Congress decide that the Bill is worthy, they can override the president's veto and such Bill will become law. I believe to override a presidential veto requires a 2/3 majority of both houses.

Whether this particular president would comply with the Constitution is another question, and if he ignored it I doubt that this Congress possesses the gonads to proceed with impeachment. Perhaps a military coup is the only solution? :(
