Airfix is in the process of re-releasing a number of the 1/144 models from years past. One of the items of interest on their website is that they choose to include colur guides for some of the models as a pdf. While the representations are copyrighted by Hornby, they are freely available for review. Of course they rather bring up the "was it grey or was it green?" question.

You know . . . .
If you go to all the trouble of making a Russian R-7 with lattice and little protrusions and somebody comments on your using Euro Green instead of Euro Gray as you are about to commit all that hard work to flight . . . .
Well, it might be time for some epic Geek-on-Geek violence.
And when Mister Smarty-Pants Color-Vision is lying there with his pocket protector in disarray, ask him to see what color he painted his R-7.
Green, grey, who cares? Seriously, none of us were there and the pictures show both.
O.K., I feel better now; Meds are kicking in . . . .

Well, there you go then.
Long as you go by the Pink Book and have the documentation you have out-geeked the geek.
