While the forum is abuzz with Enerjet talk, I was wondering if anyone had built any of the other rockets from the Enerjet Newsletters like the Thor-Able, the Saturn V with the plunger-top for an X-24 or the Prime lifting body?

I'm most interested in the lifting body but any pictures of anything Enerjet other than 1340s would be great.

I'm putting a 29mm mount in my Little Joe I as suggested in one of the Enerjet News publications.
I even have original unfired Enerjet E and F engines, but doubt they will be used.

I also have ARG Trident 2250 and 2650 clone kits.
Might build one soon.

I have the only existing Semroc parts-pak clone of the Enerjet Athena; that one did not make production; a suitable source for the wraps was never found.

I have scratch-cloned the Enerjet Athena, Aero Dart, and Egg Crate.
The Aero Dart and Egg Crate have flown many times.

Once upon a time, one could get these wraps off eBay. That's where I got mine to build my Athena. Did not get the Centuri Orion use the same wraps?

Athena wraps are just 1/100 Saturn 1B wraps and are also used for the Orion.
The Semroc Orion uses a combination of a cardboard wrap with balsa bits to simulate but not duplicate the original wrap.

I tried building a “Bug Lifter” from a crashed Quest Big Betty and a Squirrel Works XR - never did work, serious stability issues, I never could get it to fly straight. Not sure I have the fortitude to use an Estes 1969 Saturn V but a faux Saturn built from 3.5”-ish tubing would be interesting. Spoofing the roll pattern, fin shrouds and engine nozzles without trying to do a scale Sat V build would be pretty nifty.

I am very close to a 3.16" OD Athena kit being available. Rather than vacuum wraps they are decals which are photos of the wraps. I am so close I am taking pre-orders. There are still errors and omissions on the website, but it is 38mm.

Nobody is claiming the Saturn V to X-24 Bug Enerjet was ever flown. The evidence is to the contrary when they were found unflown in the collectable inventory.

The most infamous quote in the Enerjet catalog is, "you can look for this."

Ha! That’s classic! Still like to try my spoofed Saturn Bug Lifter someday but there are so many rockets to build!
