This is nearing completion. It got set aside for a while.

It's BT50, using one of the paper model plans printed out on whole sheet label stock and used as a wrap. With a bit of cardstock thrown in. And a foamcore wing. And an Apogee vacuformed nosecone.

Hey, that's really nice! Hope I see it at a Bong launch this summer.

Looks really neat. Is it a kit or did you scratch-build it? Thanks.

It should fly at Bong, Rocket Gods willing.

And it's a scratch build, inspired by a cardstock version I saw over on the Forum That Shall Not Be Named.

I printed the cardstock pattern on label paper and used it as a wrap for BT50. Added some papered foamcore, some more cardstock, some papered balsa fins and the nose cone from an Apogee Gyro Chaser.

Voila.

Nicely done!
Very nice.

Thanks.

It occurs to me that my father and I built rocket kits and scratch built N scale railroads. And that my boys and I scratch build rockets and just throw together HO track.

I'm sure that says something about the core interests of the adults in each generation :-)
