OK, a bit of back ground.
My sister gave me this tool. It's from England I believe it is dated pre World War II. Steel shaft, sliding thingy in the middle. The sliding thingy has two groves and a sharp edge. What is it? Yes, I do know what it is and how it works. |
Hmmmmm..... That's a tough one.
I'll take a super-wild guess and say something for shoemaking. Earl |
Ear wax removing tool!
|
No cigars yet.
And OW!!! That would hurt! :( |
Hint...?
This tool is British. The U.S. used a completely different design. Neither worked that well. But both designs worked. |
Wire bending tool?

Nope! |
It's a leather working tool? Specifically for making perforations in leather so that the leather may be sewn together.
It's either that or something for putting rivets into leather. The thing on the shaft looks like a slap weight/ slide weight? It's kind of throwing me off. Maybe it's a dent puller. That's my wild guesses. David |

Nope! Nothing to do with leather. Hint...it's used on metal. And not a dent puller. |
So it's not a dent puller either?
A locksmith tool? David |
