Greg

I don't know, but it is a slick design. ;)

I see someone has actually made a working model of a (bad) idea that I've had for years. I never constructed it because, to me, it always suggested launching closer to horizontal and at a target. I figured it wasn't the kind of thing the hobby needed in order to thrive. That's probably even MORE true post-Patriot Act.

I've had other bad ideas that would probably work, too. I won't build them either.

I know what you mean - I always wanted* to build a couple of BT-5 based rockets powered by A10-3Ts and mount them under the wings of an RC fighter plane.

Greg

*Yeah, I know it's stupid and dangerous and I would never actually build such a thing - but I still WANT to :D

Yeah, but rocket parts are still great for making dummies. I've thought about dressing up my Firebat (video here) with hardpoints on the wing tips for a couple sidewinders.

I wish I could remember the web sight but I looked at a rocket launcher that was attached to a WWII PT-109 RC model boat using those mini rockets that were out a couple years ago (the ones that had the launch system and rocket that was about the size of a soda can). Using a servo setup 6 rockets could be launched one at a time out of this thing. If I ever come acrost it I'll post it. Stood about three inches tall with the launching tubes mounted almost Horizontally. Looked like it would work but I didnt want to burn up the deck of my PT boat I spent so many monthes building.
