How long does it take for a North Korean rocket to launch?!

Not a joke line, but really!

We were told that the rocket was fueled over 24 hours ago ... but no launch.

Now this morning they are saying the weather was bad over North Korea and it was scrubbed.

Then they are telling us the launch will be in the next 24 - 48 hours.

Now they are saying launch is imminent!

Japan says it will intercept and destroy the rocket if it crosses over into its airspace. America has its global missile defense system on alert to intercept the missile, er um rocket.

Its all very confusing

Well if reports that are coming in are true, there are most likely North Korean Aerospace engineers who are being rounded up and shot, and their families shipped to a slave labor camp as I type this posting:

Maybe lighting will strike it while it's sitting there full of fuel!

Reports are saying... it broke up about 90 seconds into the flight...

No confirmation yet from Pyongyang... :chuckle: :D

A better question is, "how long does it take to hit the ground", really hard?

Maybe they could carry on the Soviet "Vertikal" sounding rocket program that flew large international payloads (using just the first stage of their Unha-3 launch vehicle), to work up to orbital flights...

I was thinking the same thing!

How many North Koreans does it take to launch a rocket?

Reports are that this flight was WORSE then their last. The last flight at least staged ... this one broke up before staging ... well they are supposed to do a Nuclear test in a few days.

Might as well let North Korea become a missile launching nuke power. They are MORE of a threat and a problem to China then they are to us! Let them have their SRBM and MRBM's ... so what, we can knock down their missiles and now it places pressure on China to deal with the N. Koreans ... thereby China has to spend money and resources on N. Korea and not directly against us.

I am NOW pro-North Korea Nukes and Missiles ... GO N. Korea!!!

Looks pretty technical in this picture... kinda like a launch at Blackrock! LOL :chuckle:

What the hell is that technician doing with his arms buried armpit deep inside?

This would be a perfect "Create a funny caption for this picture!" contest for, say, FlisKits or Semroc! My entry would be:

Junior launch team member: "Why must I do this?"

Senior launch team member: "Because your fingers are cheaper than an infrared imager for detecting pinhole nitric acid leaks!"

Shire,

I have made the image my new wallpaper!!!
