Jaquard Paints

I saw at a local Hobby Lobby, Jaquard airbrush paint sets. Has anyone used these paints before? I usually use more of the plastic model paints for my rockets like Tamiya, Vallejo, Testors etc.

I haven't used them, but I looked them up and did some reading on the paints.
Originally designed for textile manufacturing, now available to the public.
Great adhesion to uncommon surfaces like leather, vinyl and plastic.
Water based, fast drying, ready to spray out of the bottle.
I'm not to keen on water based paints myself, but that doesn't mean anything.
Might be worth a try if your into water based paints. Easy clean up, I'll say that much.
One thing I have found out is that once the crap dries on your equipment, nothing takes it off.
Unlike enamel based paints, once it dries you can clean it off with hot lacquer thinner.

I read a column once that said if you thin water-based 'acrylic' paints with ammonia-water (Ajax brand, etc) it makes the paint more flexible.
"Enhances" the aroma too.

I usually use 90% Isopropyl alcohol from the drugstore to thin for the airbrush. The el-cheapo water based acrylics from Michaels and Hobby Lobby even behave well with the alcohol thinner.

For cleanup plain old Windex right out of the bottle works great. Fill the cup and spray it out . Windex can also be used for stripper for paint jobs gone wrong.
