Alpha III starter set KS-7 - how was kit packaged?

1 Attachment(s)
I have my original starter set KS-7. KS-7 was an Alpha starter set before 1972 then switched to Alpha III for 72, 73, 74. In 1975 for the Alpha III set, the KS was dropped and it appears as 1406.
Mine has an orange pad and controller but the Alpha or Alpha III are long gone and I have no face card. Any help is appreciated. I was wondering if the kits in these were bulk packed without facecards or were they regular kits, and does anyone have pictures of a complete KS-7 Alpha III or Alpha, and is there any way to further date them?

Thanks

Anyone?

I have an Alpha III starter set but it's sealed in plastic. Nothing on the outside tells me how the Alpha is packed.

I also have 3 versions of the Alpha III.

One has the a black and red face card.

The other has a yellow and white face card.

I also have a bulk pack of 12 Alpha III's

I would think the bulk pack version would be appropriate for the launch set but that's just what I'm guessing.

Would love to see an open complete KS-7 if anyone has one, even a shrink wraped one would be cool to see but I don't know if they were.

Here's an incomplete KS-7 that I have. Note that it uses non-chromed Citation Quasar plastic parts.

Looks like I have a couple of KS-8 starter kits downstairs as well.

That is completely different. from what I have.

I have the 1406 set and on the cover it shows the red fins and nose cone and the black decal set, the same as the two Alpha III kits I have.

The bulk back kits have the orange fins and nose cones, pre painted black body tubes and orange decals.

I do have an Alpha II but it has the balsa fins and the newer black and red decals so that's not it either

So I guess I can't help. Sorry.

Thank you so much for all the responses. I would love to see the KS-8s, particularly if they are in the half blue/half white box like the catalog pic in post 1. That is the era I’m trying to find out about.

Years ago I had a complete early Alpha KS-7 I got from a garage sale.
I honestly can't remember if the Alpha had the face card or not.
I traded it long ago for an R/C engine in the early 90's... unfortunately the person I traded it to is long deceased.

The recent ebay sale linked below from dannymrmissle may be close to what you are looking for, though the end of the box is stamped: KS-7 - 1406
The stamped text is larger than your example photo. Maybe it was a transitional version 72-74 as you mentioned?
It appears to have an Alpha III in a clear bag with no tag. Might be a deluxe starter as it also includes paint bottles.
