What body tube size for Estes Supershot?

Does anybody know what size body tube the Supershot model out of the Estes 1449 Supershot Starter Set uses? Or can just tell me based on this description? It's a bit bigger than a BT-50, but not anywhere near the size of a BT-55? I need to find a nosecone for it.

Also, does anybody know what the engine tube in the Supershot was made of? Was it just a standard cardboard tube, or was it made of plastic? I know it has plastic parts that are glued onto and around it, but I can't tell for sure what the tube itself was made of. From the instructions the engine tube was precut with some custom notches in each end.

Somebody gave me their old Estes 1449 Supershot Starter Set. They had started building the rockets but never finished them. The Twister parts are all there but the Supershot is missing the nosecone and engine tube.

As I said, the body tube seems to be an odd non-standard size so I can't find a standard nosecone to fit it. And I'm hoping I can just use a standard cardboard engine tube and cut the notches myself.

Thank you!

I believe that model uses the HBT-1090 tube. Hard to find parts to match that, unless you scrounge them from a kit produced in the 1990’s (HiJax, Airwalker, Space Camp S.C.R.V., etc.)

I have a blue nose cone that will fit, if you want to send me a mailing address by pm. Happy to get rid of it.

Hobbylinc lists the nose cone as a PNC-1090. So the body tube might well be a HBT-1090.

Hope the helps a little.

Oops, Vanel beat me to it. I concur, and sounds like he can set you up with a hard to find cone.

I have a small box of 1090 tubes and parts I'd like to sell.

As others have said, the body tube is the HBT-1090, the motor tube is a piece of BT-20. Estes did sell both four packs of HBT-1090 tubes and four packs of nose cone for the HBT-1090 in the late 1990s. The nose cone packs came with two pointy cones (used in most HBT-1090 kits) and two blunted cones (used in the original Airwalker, Corkscrew, and Hi-Jax).
