No name yet scratch build
As you can see, this one is another bird that stems from my current fascination with the FSI Vikings. I'm toying with automotive names for this one, currently leaning toward Charger after finding a nice script logo online. Cherry Bomb, Thrush and Duster are also in the running. At the moment it's without a motor tube as I'm a bit short on BT-55 centering rings, and on paint since I'm a bit low on ideas.
Apologies for cutting off the tip in the last picture, but I had to catch the pic fast because the winds were murder today. Thus far, the project has used up two scrap pieces of BT-55, one for the body tube and one for the three tube fins. The nose cone was from one of my $.88 Bullpups and the 3/32" basswood was the remnants of another project. |
I like how you matched the tube and fin angles. It'a a very clean lookâkind'a resembles a mace. Looking forward to seeing the paint job.

Nice! Can't wait to see it painted.

In the tradition of the FSI heritage how about..."Reverse Viking" ?

Looks really nice Bill!

Any Gibson guitar fans out here will remember the reverse and non reverse guitars....

I'm thinking nothing good is going to come from that iron hook on the nose. :p :D
Looks good - I kinda like Thrush for a name. Keeping with the automotive names, I guess if you leave the hook, you could call it Hooker. |
