You could just let the E12-0 hang out the bottom of the booster by about 1".
I flew my Omega that way; E12-0 to C11-7.

Here's my Little Joe II blog build from finish to start - scroll back for the beginning:

For the tower and plastic pieces, Plastruct worked well.
For the wraps I used 77 spray adhesive.

I did some interior reinforcements on the fins. If you go this route,
be sure to taper the outside ends so they easily slip into the fins.

Thanks again, everybody.

Gassaway's thread was at TRF? That's why I didn't see it. Hans, yours is now, if belatedly, bookmarked. :)

Not a new build, but I was gazing at my now mangled Mini-Comanche III and sobbing softly when it dawned on me: I can repair this! It's the sort of thing we discuss here often.

So I lopped off the damaged portion of the sustainer (about six inches) using an Estes tube cutting guide. I found a section of unused BT-20 in my stash and cut it to length. Didn't have a coupler in that size, so I made one from remaining BT-20 stock as I'd read how on this forum. Sanded the tube ends smooth and added the new portion. Reattached the sustainer fin that was torn off at impact and reglued the second stage fin that was almost torn off and...done!

It's not perfect, and you can see the scuff on the tip of the nose cone, but it will fly again.

Now that it's got battle scars, you won't have any hesitation to put it up on a D12/C6/C6 combo regardless of the field size or wind direction! :D

LOL, I guess I should not have been multitasking while reading YORF. I missed the "mini" in the earlier post! :o

Hello, I'm Newbomb Turk, and I've been dead for ten years. But this Semroc Shrike is so super spectacular I've come BACK to show you the picture.

Wow, where ya been?!! I came across a thread a week or so ago that you had responded to and I checked your last post here and it was over a year ago. Hoped that something had truly not ‘gone wrong’ for you. But, we all know ‘life happens’ and it can keep any of us away from things for extended periods.

Welcome back!

Thanks! After a bit of a self-elected professional sabbatical, I started a new job about six months ago. It's going great, and I'm starting to get my feet under me which should free up more time.

The above post was stolen from a 70s Robert Klein bit where he mocks late night infomercials.

(In a sophisticated British accent) "This is Conrad Jarvis and I've been dead for ten years. But this record offer is so super spectacular I've come back to tell you about it."
