Estes Tomcat #2086

If this doesn't fall under projects, I don't know what does!

Goodrocks1 is still at it! This kit is tough even in new condition.

Any takers?

I wouldn't pay a fraction of that price for that kit--the canopy is missing.

Sounds like a bag of junk to me... and anybody willing to pay $65 bucks for it deserves to be taken for sheer stupidity...

I wouldn't give you 65 cents...

Oh well... one born every minute...

Later! OL JR :)

Wow JJ, I didn't even notice. I should have made a negative mold when I had my kit. I got one built up but I don't want to ruin it.

Jump on over to Fee Bay and see what else he's got. Some are deals.

I've built a couple of F-14 "swing wings" in the past, but not for a long time. It's a tuffie! This is the last one I built.

In his defense.....he does call the kit "used", which is accurate given that he also says it's cobbled together from an incomplete kit and bits from a built model that crashed.

And he does give the "make an offer" option.

Still, I think I'll pass.

P.S. @jeffyjeep - beautiful model! Plastic model craftsmanship, sir!

"GOOSE!!!! I'M PUNCHIN' OUT!!!!!!"
-- my brother...

Do you have any idea how hard it is to fly one of those model airplane simulators in the hobby shop when as soon as you pull your trainer onto the runway, your brother shouts that behind you loud enough for everybody in the hobby shop to hear?? LOL:)

Sums up how I feel about this "kit" and the price it's being offered for...

Later! OL JR :)

PS... I have a bunch of balsa scraps and tube scraps and stuff laying around... sounds like I should bag it up and call it a "used kit" as well....

Or maybe sell some rockets that have been "re-kitted" LOL:)

OL JR :)

I did NOT build this model. That being said, find the mistake.

The last pic shows the battle damage from it's one and only flight. What a lawndart!

jeffyjeep 12-03-2015 07:38 AM

I'll bet that model was gorgeous before it's "accident"--I LOVE the panel lines! The mistake? The mistake was flying it! :D
