AeroTech Releases Two New DMS™ Motors at NSL Launch in Pueblo, CO

AeroTech is introducing two new motors in its DMS™ Disposable Motor System™ line of adjustable delay and ejection single-use motors at the NAR's upcoming NSL launch in Pueblo, CO, the 29mm G80T-14A and H195T-14A.

G80T-14A Motor Data:
Total impulse: 137 N-sec (30.8 lb-sec)
Burn time: 1.7 sec
Peak thrust: 24 lbs (109 N)
Delay time: 14 sec max (adjustable)
Propellant wt.: 62.5 grams (2.2 oz.)
Loaded wt.: 128 grams (4.5 oz.)
Propellant: Blue Thunder™

H195T-14A Motor Data:
Total impulse: 230 N-sec (51.7 lb-sec)
Burn time: 1.16 sec
Peak thrust: 57 lbs (254 N)
Delay time: 14 sec max (adjustable)
Propellant wt.: 107 grams (3.77 oz.)
Loaded wt.: 196 grams (6.91 oz.)
Propellant: Blue Thunder

The G80T and H195T motors are TRA certified and can be purchased and used by flyers attending NSL (customers purchasing the H195T must possess NAR or TRA Level 1 certification at a minimum). They are competitively priced with existing reload kits at $19.99 each retail for the G80T, and $29.99 each for the H195T.

The time delay of DMS motors may be shortened using AeroTech's new Universal Delay Adjustment Tool, which is being provided free of charge to each customer who purchases one or more DMS motors (one free tool to a customer, please).

Motor performance data including a sample time-thrust curve are printed on the motor label.

DMS motors are packaged in a distinctive yellow shipping tube with AeroTech logos printed on the outer spiral wrapping, and the same motor label applied to the outside of the tube for easy identification and performance evaluation by the flyer. Caps on the ends of the tube are applied externally and are easier to remove than internal caps that are stapled to the tube.

The motors feature a glass-reinforced composite phenolic nozzle, a new molded plastic bulkhead and ship with a FirstFire igniter and a molded (G80T) or bonded (H195T) thrust ring.

DMS motors are different from previous and existing reloadable and single-use motors in the following important ways:

• No hardware to buy, load, clean or lose
• High strength, light weight filament-wound fiberglass or molded glass-phenolic casings
• User adjustable time delays in 2 second increments
• User adjustable ejection charge- no more "one size fits all" charges
• High reliability due to less potential for user error while retaining superior customer adjustability
• Low cost

Other DMS motors which will be released soon include the 38mm I140W-14A and J270W-14A, which are in the process of certification testing. These motors are perfect for Level 1 & 2 certifications and general sport flying and will also be priced competitively with similar reloads.

The DMS motor design and the Universal Delay Adjustment Tool are patent pending.

AeroTech`s DMS line ushers in a new era of ease of use, low cost and spectacular performance to the modern hobby rocketry market.

Interesting. I have my Leviathan with me so I could try a G80.

It will be interesting as I generally fly 2- and 3-grain CTI motors in it and have some with me as well.

Is this another name change? Or an addition to the FU line ?

Looks like a name change to me......

I will have my AeroTech Sumo kit available for demo flying. ;)

A G80-7 works well in that model.

One of those H135 motors sounds good, too. ;) :D

Gary, will you be selling these or will perhaps Apogee?

Cool, instant collector item! Wish I had one of the original labels. Well I think I do, but it's under the version 2 label.
