I've been an NPR junky for a long time, and it is with great sadness that I pass along the news that retired newscaster Carl Kasell has passed away. For a long time, I would wake up to his headlines on Morning Edition, and I greatly enjoyed his involvement with the program "Wait Wait Don't Tell Me". I got to see him one year when our local public radio station brought him in for a gala - he was warm, charming and extremely funny. He will be missed.
