..and here it is.
I put down a couple of light primer coats, and then 3 coats of the Rusto 2x Perfect Gray. It's a pretty light gray (probably a shade or two lighter than scale), but still a better color than the old. As far as I can tell, I did a halfway decent job with the painting this time.
The paint, which is labeled "Ultra Matte", has more sheen than I expected. I need to figure it if it's a good enough surface for decals, or if I need to gloss coat first.
I'm very happy with the way this looks now. Work is now focusing on getting the decals ready.
