I used Testor's tube cement (orange) on my Centuri Saturn 1B and V when I was a kid, but that stuff had some heat to it. Today's version isn't worth spit.

I fairly recently built one of my Maxi V-2 reissues with Tenax-7R. Amazing stuff!!!

Unfortunately, you can't find it anymore. Next best thing is probably Plastruct Plastic Weld, Micromark "Same Stuff", or Ambroid Pro Weld. If you want to go bulk, grab a quart of MEK, which is probably more like Plaststrut.

Main ingredient for Tenax, Same Stuff, and Ambroid is methylene chloride, IIRC. I think Plastruct is mostly MEK. Some folks like Plastruct better because it flashes off a little slower than Tenax and Ambroid. I've never tried them, so I don't know. YMMV.

Plaststrut also makes a product called Bondene, but I've never seen anyone talk about it.
