First the engine mount. I added one component to the mount: a mylar retaining ring. If it ends up interfering with the mounting of the fin's tabs into the slots, I'll modify the tabs if necessary.

Now with the engine mount and it's Kevlar shock cord epoxied into the BT55, I use a long aluminum angle to pencil the lines of the wings, top fin, strake, and belly scoop rib. I've oriented the engine hook between the belly scoop rib and the starboard wing because that's where the launch lugs will be.

Next I sand the edges of the balsa pieces on the Corian board that's covered with 220 and then assemble the wings and belly scoop central rib on another Corian board that's covered with waxed paper.
