The wider gaps are 17/16", so I think this just became 'planned'. I think that's enough space for 1010 rail, which makes getting pad time at Bong much easier.
If I ever use this trick again, I'll throw a square on the rule to check for any rotation as I go.

Here's a thought: What happens if you stand the thing on a flatbed scanner and scan it?
Here's what I get with my standard Ventris. The parts out of the flatbed plane are out of focus (the soot that fell out when I set it down is in focus though ) but maybe it'd be good enough to help figure out where things got out of alignment. ETA: If I draw lines on mine it looks like my fins are 90.5° and 89.5° apart. Not perfect but I don't think the 1° difference is enough to match what you're seeing, is it?

That's a cool design, what motors do you plan to fly it on? Hope I'm there to see it fly.

I trimmed the noseweight with a 3 grain 29mm motor and 4 E9s loaded.
But I think the first flight will be single motor - or maybe 2 outboard D12s

First flight today. 3 motor cluster, central E9-4 with two outboard E12-0s.
Both E12s CATO'd. On the pad. Flight https://youtu.be/Smo6AyvW78E Aftermath All reporting done. Now I have to decide if I want to rebuild.

Any idea as to what lead to the undesired conclusion of that flight?

Using Estes E12s from a batch with reported CATOs, even if it's not one of the frequently reported batches.
Flying with an underpowered central motor, so I was depending on the pods.
