Unhappy Prices

Thanks for that info, Scott.

If prices keep going up (due to fuel costs?), on BP, they will make it an even trade off to stay with composites. Unless prices really take off there as well

*sigh* really need to bring back the 18mm composite C's and long burn D3's. At least you got bang for the buck. The Apogee D10 is a good motor, and I'm glad to see it available.

I'm sure that Apogee D10 is a good motor...............I'd just like to be able to afford them! Put in perspective, a 3-pack of Estes C's are going up to $9.15 at your hobby shop (I presume that's list, so they may be priced competitively and end up going for less than that), while a single Apogee D10 is $13.95 plus shipping! So a 3-pack of those is going to cost almost 50 bucks! Unless you can get them at your local hobby shop, in which case you should at least save the shipping.

Their pricing is getting downright ignorUnt.
The only time I pay anywhere retail for BP SU engines is for two specific engines that are not available at Michaels/Hobby Lobby with a coupon.
The B6-6 and D12-7; those i have to pay the ridiculously high retail price at the local hobby shop. Otherwise I only buy them with coupons.
I find I'm using my RMS 24 much more now.

We need a real competitor to Estes with some decent new BP engine offerings !!!!
I'd even pay retail for new hi-thrust port-burners just to take business away from Estes.

Yes, there is such a thing as NORMAL
, if you have to ask what is "NORMAL" , you probably aren't !

Failure may not be an OPTION, but it is ALWAYS a POSSIBILITY.
ALL systems are GO for MAYHEM, CHAOS, and HAVOC !

Yep, I agree. I was at the local HL yestereday. All of their currect stock is still priced at the old prices, $5.99 for A,B,C; $12.99 for D, and $16.99 for E.
I suspect that with the recent rash of 40% coupons offered by HL, that my local competitve shopper (reads Barone ) is gobbling up the inventory. The pickings are starting to get slim. Just about all the B's were gone. On the plus side, (I believe barone mentioned this in another post) I don't think HL carries price increases over to their old stock; so stock up now and boycott the increased prices......Just a thought.

I just paid $6.95 for a pack of Quest A6-4's. Any word on whether these motors will be going up in price too? If only we could get our hands on these cheap Chinese motors...

Actually, I've been trying to buy a bulk shipment of those for some time with no interest by the company to sell any

I believe Phred has tried for year(s) ? to get some samples for his collection, also with no results I know of.

If anyone has an inside line / knows someone in th eimport business, or in China who could rattle thier cage,........

~ AL

( as stated in another post, I * DO * have some serious investors lined up, if startup costs aren;t prohibitive, then would be VERY interested in outsourcing some BP motors )
" Green Dragon F100 " anyone ??

Yeah, I just sent another email last week asking for some samples for evaluation. I gave all of my company info, but no reply yet.
