You might want to look at this image at the end of the link below as well for decal placement. It's a little clearer.

All I can say is the photo of the Athena decal from the ebay auction I worked from was all black. None the less, here is a version with red for the stripes that appear to be red in the image, I hope.

Once again, Tim to the rescue!! Thanks a lot for the recolorization. I had seen the pic in the catalogue, but you're right: it is a whole lot clearer.
A shout out to GH: What do you think?!
Oh, well, here I go again...
Tim, you are a gentleman and a scholar!!! I guess I need to print up a set.

I think the red looks more correct.
I was happy with just the black if that's all I could get though !

I'm a little confused, which is where my summer honme is (state of confusion)...

I just recieved an email from Mr. Neubauer, and he indicated there was only one wrap on the Athena. Am I seeing things, or are there 3 seperate wraps on the Athena? I went ahead and ordered a couple of wraps, but I'm not exactly sure what I'll be receiving...

Without actually looking, I'd guess that the Saturn 1B lower wrap might be cut into upper and lower pieces and used seperately on the Athena.

There are two wraps on the model. These are 1/100 scale Saturn 1B wraps. Excess pieces cut from them are used on the payload section. Or one could use the wraps on the payload section and use the leftovers on the lower BT. They came as two wraps on one vacuum-formed sheet. Tim's link:

http://www.ninfinger.org/~sven/rock...2/72ejet12.html

Clearly shows the two wraps; they are separate and distinct.

The plans on JimZ show and reference 2 wrappers as well. They are long enough to wrap around the payload section or can be cut to the proper length to wrap around the lower booster section as on the catalog page. You can use any of the leftover bits and glue them anywhere you want for further detailing.

http://www.dars.org/jimz/ke-5.htm

like Centuri plans, they show some placement options, but are a little vague on exact placement of the wrappers.

I thought I would post these other photos I saved from an Ebay auction earlier this year. They show 2 wraps already installed. At least that's what it looks like to me. Hope this helps.

Fantastic pictures of an original, Rick! I have some questions for you: How large is that parachute? I figured I would use a 24" or 30" 'chute on mine; the rocket weighs in at 6.5 ounces without engine or parachute at the moment. It looks like it would be about a 24" nylon in the box there.
Also, would you consider sending the decals to Phred at Excelsior, so he could make some killer ones for us? Or Tom at Tango Papa decals.
Thanks for the pictures; they are a help!!
Are those wraps actually glued on already, or is that how they chose to package them to reduce the chance for damage? Maybe the person from whom you bought it had already done some 'work' on the rocket?
Looks like Centuri (Enerjet) really knew how to package that model.
Thanks!
Allen

The later "bagged" instead of boxed Enerjet Athena kits did not come with the wraps installed.
In the "boxed" version it is unclear if they are actually glued to the tube or if they are simply "rolled" around the tube in the box.
A NIB bagged Athena sold on ebay a few months ago for somewhere around $275.00
The same seller sold a NIB bagged Enerjet AeroDart for around $250.00
My original Enerjet Nike Smoke kit has a 18" SILK multi-panel parachute.
I know the Athena used a silk chute, and would imagine it is either 24" or 30".
