I'm sure the reason that they got a new catalog out so quickly was because they were using layouts already prepared. There are some minor differences this year (vertical rocket pictures rather than diagonals, bottom page borders are much different), but the basic elements are the same, so they probably missed some details going to press quickly.

Yes, that's certainly plausible. I guess time will tell, one way or the other.

I seem to remember some RocSim simulations where the C-6 actually has a higher apogee by a few feet than the C-11 motor. So those that miss the C-11 can try a C-6 with adapter.

We don't care about the altitude on the C11. We care about the high initial thrust to lift heavy models with stability on small fields.

For what it's worth, the C11s are listed in the new Estes catalog. Is this a sign?

There was no 2017 catalog, right? Prior to this year, the last one I could find was 2016.

I see you can add the catalog to your order on eRockets' website.

Say, I was planning some builds, and in the catalog and on Estes' site, they don't list the PNC-80K nosecone, as used in the Executioner, Red Flare, and others. After searching for info here, it seems they haven't for a long time. Is there a known reason why?

There used to be a seller on eBay that sold 80K nose cones. I cannot find any references to the seller. However, if you can use a slightly longer plastic nose cone, Apogee sells one. It’s not cheap ($15), but very well made. I bought one to try, here is the link.
