Default Roachwerks Upscale Colonial Viper

I wanted to post a pic of my just completed Roachwerk's Upscale (168%) Colonial Viper. Very nice, quick kit to build. Decals are the usual very high quality. In addition to the normal pilot's names Sandman surprised me by adding an extra, which I chose to use (see inset ).

Apparently Sandman has that particular font so if you order a set of the decals just ask him and he'll include whatever pilot's name you want.

Great kit!

OK set us streat. Is it or isn't it a kit? If not, Gus can you give us the break down of the parts? Are the decal a special order?

Mine was a kit made as a special request. Actually the request was just for a "kit for Steve". Doing the upscale Viper was Gordy's idea. The "kit" came with all the parts and decals but no instructions. Those I got from JimZ.

Gordy won't really offer this as a regular kit since the folks in GalacticaLand, inc. would probably object.

But if you want to build an upscale version of the old Estes model (or any other size for that matter) Gordy will be happy to help you out. If you want him to gather up all the correct size pieces for you and put them in a box (like my wife requested) he will do so. If you just want the decals, he'll be happy to do that too. On this particular model he even made the nosecone (no surprise) but it is made out plastic (big surprise).

It was a really fun quick project and I can't thank him enough.

If you want a similar box of parts or just the decals you can contact Gordy at: gagnello@yahoo.com

Better yet, do what I did years ago and give your relatives Gordy's contact info. He makes their holiday shopping for you very very easy.

OK, but just wait a second guys.

Let me get my act together on this one.

Let's start with the nose cone.

I will start a build thread with the nose cone tomorrow (it's after midnight already).

I want you guys to see just what's involved in making it. I think just about anybody here can do that cone easy enough.

You have to start out with the BT-60AH (Mean Machine or Der Red Max nose cone)

And we will go from there.

I'll start a new thread tomorrow.
