The canyon awaits! The decals dress this one up well.....the mid-70s graphics are a bit over the top by today's standards but are fitting for Evel's larger than life personality. I kinda miss his sense of adventure, though some would probably lable him a knucklehead. We just about worshipped him as kids. Earl

I was able to finish my build today and she looks pretty good. I was unable to use the decals so I made my own with the Alps printer, it is the exact same decal that Sandman is using. I am not happy with the plastic nose cone and may replace it with the Semroc balsa nose, much better blend. The Semroc laser cut parts were perfect and the only thing that was missing was the shock cord mount. I think Semroc did this on purpose and I don't blame them. I did have the original mount so I used it on this build. Thanks to Semroc and Sandman, this build is available for all.

Lookin' sharp! My 37 year old one has yellowed a bit over the years but still flies fine.....and still uses the original shock cord and parachute (but it's been a few years since I last flew it). Good to see a bright white and shiney new one! Earl

Hm. That's a model I thought I wouldn't care for—but doggone that looks good. I don't know why I let myself get jaded like that. Sweet build and a cool model!

Very cool build and post. Thanks! But I have a question for all that have built and flown one: Wouldn't this fly better using standard size engines?

It flies better than one would think on mini-As, but stability could be an issue With 18mm motors. The original featured a hollow plastic nosecone, so one could load it up with some clay if needed. But my assumption had been that such a relatively short, stumpy rocket with atypical fin structure might display marginal stability with the weight of an 18mm motor in it's tail. Earl

Could you tell me what nose cone this is from SEMROC? Perhaps BC-1321? Thanks.
