Default My other scratch builds

Diamond Cutter was my first-ever scratch build, completed about a year ago. Flew *successfully* for the first time last Saturday on a D12. It's quite simple compared to my later builds, but was a very good learning experience in a lot of areas. It's also the largest rocket I've built to date.

And I made a face card for it because apparently I have too much time on my hands.

Default Biohazard

Biohazard came out of a deliberate effort to incorporate some sort of ring and/or pods into a design. Ended up covering both of them here.

Flew successfully last Saturday on a C11 and a D12.

Default Upscale Quinstar

And finally, my upscale Estes Quinstar. Every piece on this was cut by hand, because I am apparently insane. Decals designed by me and cut from holographic vinyl by Stickershock23.

Flew twice last Saturday on F15-0s; generally performs identically to the regular-sized version, except, um, bigger.

Sorry for the blurry launch photo.

You -almost- make me feel guilty for using a laser cutter, Mr. Cut By Hand.

Those holo-vinyl decals are awesome.

If it's any consolation, Biohazard and APRO Lander II were laser-cut. In this case, cutting by hand was the whole point of the project: to keep my hands busy (!) over the winter. It succeeded.

As a side benefit, it really made me confident about hand-cutting in the future. Starship Avalon was totally hand cut; wouldn't have had the guts to try it if I hadn't done this one first.

I would gladly do it if someone wants to lend me a motor (at the moment I don't do reloads.) The longest-burn G would be best, something like a G25W, although a G64W would probably be good too.

You are doing some incredible work there. Beautiful finishes! And the Diamond Cutter is an absolute knock out!
