Default LIFE SUCKS - but rockets are good .

Well, coming into my second Christmas since my wife left.... was doing ok, had adjusted, but holidays are still touch and go, might always be so ,

BAD NEWS = yesterday I got laid off from work, just in time for Christmas - and winter heating bills

definately sucks, unsure how long it will be, was told liekly not forever, but 2-3 weeks can sink a ship real fast. ( and can;t even get unemployment for a week, then that's half... )

flip side is - with more time, I might just get some rockets built

rocketry, and this forum , kept me sane when I was out of work in 2005, so I;m keeping a positive attitude so far ( best I can ) .

so.... covet your prayers / thoughts / incantations, whatever you believe in

( and will be posting some goodies in the 'for sale' section, so be sure to check em out )

Sorry to hear that Al,

I've been there and done that myself... (I met the girl in Binghamton BTW!)

It gets better......It just takes time and perseverence.

Hang in there.

Wow. Just minutes ago I was on one of my motorcycle forums and read where another friend of mine has just been told his company would be sold off and shut down on 12/28. Like I told him, I hope you find new and better work soon.

Al, I can say that I've been there, done that, know how it feels. Not good. I found that rocketry can sooth the soul. It has certainly helped me get through some trying times.

Al,

keep your chin up, and always remember this bit of wisdom.....

Why are divorces so expensive?

BECAUSE THEY'RE WORTH IT!!!!

Take care,

Default Thanks to all

Just wanted to say thank you for all the support.

It's just great how we have our group of people here that aren;t just 'rocketeers', but friends, and that means something in this day and age .

and , yes, rockets ARE a good therapy / get your mind on something good, thing.

The work issue will resolve itself, my mind knows that, but my pocketbook is still very aprehensive, lol .... things actually looking up - I sell antiques on the side, and sold an old waterfall front art deco vanity yesterday - have had it in the window for near a YEAR , kept marking it down from 200+ to 85.00 and no takers, we just put a " holiday sale, 100.00 on it and it wasn;t there three days , so that was a pick-me-upper ( to a point ).
So at least I might not have to eat ramen and canned tuna all winter

As for the holidays / 'D-word' .. still an emotional rollercoaster, but most days are ok - helps to know others here went through it and can relate . ( and found a good 'new Mrs' , I'll keep working on that one ).... " Dear Santa, please send brunette, 5' 7", likes rockets........"

Anyways, I'm starting to sound like a drama queen.. err.. king ?, so , again, thanks - keep the prayer vibes coming and life will be good ( eventually, lol )
