Talking The Educator - Modified Big Daddy - Simpsons Theme

Its going to be used for Outreach and Rocketry Education

This is my rocket, The Educator, which is a modified Big Daddy.

The first modifications were adding basswood fins and centering rings. The second modification was adding a payload section. This was accomplished by using an addition 12" section of body tubing. A MDF coupler was then expoxied into the 6" coupler. The coupler was then expoxied into the aft end of the payload section. The bulkhead contained a eyescrew for the upper attachment point for the shockcord. Custom 1/4" Launch Lugs were then added A motor retention system was created by two screw receptors being added to the aft center ring. A basswood plate is then screwed down to hold in the motor.

The rocket has a simpons school bus team. If you notice there are simpsons characters in the school bus windows. In following with this team here is a special graphic.

It says:
"I will only fly within the scope of my certification and required licensing.
I will not launch my rocket at targets.
I will not launch my rockets if winds exceed 20 mph.
I will not attempt to recover my rocket from power lines."

Looks awesome Joy! Kids should get a real kick out of that...What motor do you plan to use to send it skyward?

Thanks! I plan on using an an Aerotech SU E-304t. Can't wait to launch it, but I'm waiting for our TARC demonstration day (our NAR section has 5 TARC teams we're working with).

So do I. I really want to go fly it, but I'm "supposed" to be studying for finals
