I have the Interceptor built and ready for the primer. I did not prime the fins this time because it is making too much of a mess in my garage. So back to Aerogloss balsa sealer, this rocket took 3 coats for a smooth finish.

I ran out of Plastikote primer and tried Rustoleum Automobile primer from Home Depot. It went on nice but had no filling properties whatsoever, basically it was flat grey. I waited a couple of hours and I was unable sand it. The next day I sanded it down and shot Plastikote primer and everything came out ok. I sanded it smooth and shot old formula Krylon Glossy White. Next will be the Naram 52 decals.

It really looks great even without the decals!

What kind of Plastikote primer do you use? I went to their web site and they have a few different kinds, including a spot filler and primer.

I finished my Naram 52 Satellite Interceptor today and hope to fly her in a couple of weeks. The decals went on great with no issues. Onto to the next Estes Build......
