That's what I meant, at their discounted price buy a few, you'll pay nearly as much for just a nose cone, and you get tubes, couplers, motor mount, chute and fin stock..

They've been on discount for a while

Just a bit of trivia information. The nose cone on the Pro Series Mammoth is the same nose cone as that on the Interceptor minus the cockpit and other details.

I am wondering if the pnc 50y and 50x will be used again, nice cones and good for cloning.

I did some product prototyping a few years back. I found the laser to be a lot more useful for hobby work than a CNC router. (I created a number of rocket parts in my spare time on the laser engraver.) I would love to have both, but I'd get a laser first.

And as I see more and more 3-D printed rocket parts, I want one of those as well.

I have a lathe and thoroughly enjoy turning nose cones and transitions. I've also turned nozzles, intake and exhaust nacelles, etc. Lots of fun. Wood turning can be addictive.

If they make it available, it will be in a package set like the Sci-Fi set.
Estes hasn't sold single parts in years.
Which reminds me, I seen somewhere the current Sci-Fi set is being discontinued.
Due to the kits that use the cones have been.
So I don't think they will offer a nose cone from a discontinued kit in a package.

Whoa, can anyone confirm that? If true, I'd hope that some new sci-fi nose cones are coming, they definitely add some nice variety to the product line.

Three out of the five nose cones in the SciFi nose cone set our currently used in kits. The other two have not been used in kits for some time now. I don't know the answer to this but if the SciFi nose cone set is going to be discontinued it will be because it doesn't sale well and not because the cones are no longer used in kit.

Thanks for clearing that up John.
It would be nice if you could confirm, or deny, if it will be discontinued.
I have one package on hand. But having what you need when it's no longer offered is Golden.

Confirming and denying stuff can possibly get one fired so I stick with generalities most of the time.

You may not be able to confirm or deny but you have proven you are willing to listen and respond. Your ability to connect with bleeding edge rocketeers to bring products to a mass market, is a new and wonderful development at Estes. Kudos.

Might I suggest when you do a kit production you also order spare plastics, especially nose cones for after market sales?

Focus:
Alpha BT-50
Goblin BT-55
Mean Machine BT-60
Maxi-Alpha BT-80
4" ogive BT-101 H

Some BT-70 NC? AJ or 3:1 ogive ok. (TARC)

I would buy >1000 per size 1-2.25" just to help justify it.
