Default Tours

Carl,

Just curious if you'd be open to offering "tours" of your facilities as Estes did in the long past?

I'm waiting on the first color catalog.

We do have "tours." Rocket Doctor has been here. Pete Deaver and Pyro Pro are regulars. It does not take but about 15 minutes and we don't fire a rocket at "Cape Semroc", but we do always have Cokes and Nabs.

If anyone is in the area, please call.

We have a full color catalog almost ready. Unfortunately, the cost to produce it is about $4K for about 2000 copies.

I'll be sure to do that if I'm ever out your way. Reminds me of the "tour" I set up for HUVARS to visit the North Coast Rocketry facility in the early '90's. I wrote to Chris and he said sure, stop by. The facility was his basement, but what a totally cool basement. *LOL*

Well, I was joking about the catalog. I figured the cost was prohibitive until you get into more LHS's. Any thoughts of making a PDF version to be downloaded from the website?

Maybe. The bleeding to the edge for commercial printing does not work well with desktop printing.

Estes doesn't allow any tours, the place is basically "locked down".

I had the opportunity in April 2007 to stop in and visit, and, also had the opportunity to see their motors operation. Unfortunately, they were shut down that day, no production.

They print between 6 to 8 thousand casing per day, the date on the casings, is not the date of loading, it could a month later.

They also crank out hundreds and hundreds of igniters daily.

Yes, I had the priveledge and opportunity to visit semroc. Quite an operation. I happened to be in South caroloina at my significant others ,Diana's, home, and we drove the four hours up to visit.

Amazing, and, if anyone has the opportunity to also visit, it's a great tour.

Yeah , like they are going show just anyone who stops by that nifty piece of engineering?? I'd say that's their best kept secret....gives them the competitive edge. I could be mistaken, but I think it's called the S.H.E.R.Y.L. Haven't figured out what that stands for yet.

I'd send a couple of bucks for a catalog ahead of time. I remember taping a quarter to a Centuri ad way back when! Inflation and all that.

Yes, there is such a thing as NORMAL
, if you have to ask what is "NORMAL" , you probably aren't !

Failure may not be an OPTION, but it is ALWAYS a POSSIBILITY.
ALL systems are GO for MAYHEM, CHAOS, and HAVOC !
