Ordered one!
Thanks to BMS! Still miss the old 'rocket kit of the month' though. Allen |

Ordered, although it might stretch my build skills. The instructions seem pretty followable, though.
Also ordered another Cobra. Love the first one I got from BMS. White body with blue and the appropriate decals, flown twice on three C6-7s. This one will be the black / grey / white scheme.

I also ordered (reserved) the Saturn - V and started to get the Cobra, but didn't because I recently received the "Cluster Bug" kit from our fellow model rocketeer John Thro's small modroc company.

That one looks very cool. I'm probably in for another engine eater.

What body tubes are used in this kit?

I believe the main body tube is a Centuri/Semroc ST-20 (2.04") for the S-1C/S-II section.

Sheryl, I had the great pleasure to meet Randy Boadway and others at the eRockets Build Night the Tuesday evening before NSL. My wife and I just returned from a monster 5000+ mile road trip thru 17 states and Canada and were fortunate to be in Dayton for the event. That night also happened to be Randy's birthday. I also finally met Bill Eichelberger, whom I've "known" for a few years online, but never met face to face. Lots of other friendly folks there, too. I did not build anything while there, just talked for hours with rocket people! It was fun to see the operations, and some of the equipment from Semroc like the nose cone lathe and body tube cutter. And also very nice to see the new products being devloped, as well as new tooling. The great company you and Carl started lives on in very capable hands!

I am building the BMS Alway Saturn V right now, a blog build is upcoming. The main tube is a (Centuri) ST-20, above the larger balsa transition is a Estes sized BT-55, the service module tube is a 20mm Quest/MPC tube. Three different vendor tubes! This is a very well engineered kit and a good build challenge.
