Thanks Jeffy.

I've been practicing embossing. This is Tyvek. I'm looking for some ammonia based window cleaner to try the cardstock again.

It's not quite right - my boy printed mis-matching halves. But the alignment is close enough to start testing.

Have you test flown this bird yet? I started building one before you did, but have yet to finish it . I was planning on essentially just an upscale from Estes design, flown on an E . I also went with Estes foam shuttle which is allot more robust than the gillows, but slightly harder to come by.

Got in the first flight today. Started simple, no cluster motors nor booster separation.

Slo mo until off the rail.

Looks like it flies like the 1284 Estes Space Shuttle when underpowered by a C6-3.
Almost cruise-missile halfway through the burn.
Looks like you need at least double the average thrust you had.

Yes, there is such a thing as NORMAL
, if you have to ask what is "NORMAL" , you probably aren't !

Failure may not be an OPTION, but it is ALWAYS a POSSIBILITY.
ALL systems are GO for MAYHEM, CHAOS, and HAVOC !

Possibly.

When I balanced the model and figured out the radial Cg, I had a Quantum and a Lipo that weren't in it for this flight - so the thrust could be a little off axis.

We didn't try correcting with the elevators for this flight, either.

Interesting technique.

Do you use some kind of a hydraulic press, run over it with a car or just stomp on it?

If you can do the "programmed roll" off of the rail, it will look just like the real thing...

I sandwiched in between aluminum plates and squeezed it in a bench mounted vise.
