Default for better or worse

Here she is
and it is no where near scale
http://www.jammer.com/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=457

I think my daughter messed up on the command module scaling ( she is my graphics engineer , and pattern cutter) as it is to tall it is also paneled for a 001-002 configuration and i made a 002 nose , however it did not turn out well . I may make another

Ther is an option under the pix for full size , if you use that you can see all my mistakes .

the string hanging out is my experment with the LES recovery. I is just sitting there , I put some elastic in it , and pulled it tight , and I am going to jam it in with the nose . When it seperates it should just fall off and dangle off the nose . I still need to shim the LES to get it true

I am thinking about running a tether to the bottom and bringing down core sample mode for the main body .

it weighs in at 2.6 lbs with motor , minus the chute and harness , so it will be close to 3 lbs which puts in g70ish range of which there is a good varitty for the 29 40-120 case . if need be I can go with a g75 in my 29 180 which I have tested at 4 lbs .

I have yet to do any stability testing on it so who knows . feel free to rip me on it

I WANT one of those Sandman/Roachwerks LJII's as soon as they are available.
That kit represents the ONLY decent scale LJII's since the 1/45 Centuri LJII of the early 70's.

, if you have to ask what is "NORMAL" , you probably aren't !

Failure may not be an OPTION, but it is ALWAYS a POSSIBILITY.
ALL systems are GO for MAYHEM, CHAOS, and HAVOC !

That's what I was aiming for!

Thanks.

Sandman,
Is your "stock" motor mount in the LJII a 29mm or cluster ?
If cluster, what size/arrangement and do you offer the option of single 29mm ?

Center mount is 24mm with six 18mm mounts sorrounding it.

Plenty of room in the centering ring for 29mm.

Here's my tower recovery rigging ... idea is to bring it back slightly nose-up with a 36" Spherachute attached to the ring. I'm open to better ideas .... anyone else tried this successfully?

Tim, I did mine the same way only I used a large snap swivel attachet to one of the uprights.

Worked the same.

I use a seperate chute for the main body and one for the capsule.

Thanks, Gordy! Now if you can explain how you get them to come back a few feet from the pad, that would be helpful too ........
