Some advice from an ORF [Old Rocket F@rt] - if your wife actually LIKES your hobby of rocketry, do everything you can to keep her happy! I think the last time my wife was at a rocket launch, the first Bush was President!

My wife tolerates my hobby. It keeps me sane. She actually liked the metallic clear paint I was using on some rockets at the time and said "make me a purple one!" so I did!

As with any one-spouse hobby, it has its ups and downs but I consider myself lucky that she's as supportive as she is.

She doesn't build, though, and attends family launches at the park sometimes...

My wife's the same way sort of. She likes when I finish one and compliments by builds, likes to
watch them launch and takes some excellent photos, but she won't consider doing a build herself.
She complains about the sawdust and the amount of space they take up and how many unbuilt kits
I have and that I build my kits in the living room.

Then again, I could complain about the amount of space her horse stuff takes up, the amount of
money we spend on that particular hobby, and the fact that I can't build in the garage because it's
full of horse stuff, but...

At least our hobbies keep us relatively sane and out of each others hair most of the time.
