Never understood why the USMC did not procure them also.

They were too busy lusting after the LCAC.

The Vixen has informed me that my order has arrived: (1) Citation Patriot kit and (1) Super Big Bertha kit. I'd love to check them out but I'm stuck on a job at Cherry Point MCAS for the weekend.

...but hey, I've been stuck at FAR worse places than this, like: India, Detroit, Nanking, Keoshung, South Philly, Piggot (AR), San Pedro Sula (Honduras), Cali (Colombia), Monterrey (N.L. Mex), Edmonton (in January), Point of Rocks (WY) Jim Bridger Power Plant (in January), et. al.

Now it's time to find some fresh-caught, grilled, Mahi-Mahi!

Default Today at Cherry Point MCAS:

This was near the shop where I was working today at Cherry Point MCAS. I'm pretty sure it's some kind of helicopter, but that's all I know about it.

Oh wait, also the tail boom folds in the middle---probably to take up less space in hangars, and it's FREAKIN' LOUD! (it's as sneaky as an elephant.)

Aren't those from the 1970's and 80's?

The Sea Stallion went into service in the mid 60's but the E model is still in service and quite a beast.

And I just read that the CH-53K is due to go into service this year. It's been in trials for a while.
