Harry Coover, the inventor of super glue died today. I just saw this on NBC nightly news.

I heard about this earlier on the radio. who knew how many applications for Super Glue when it started out for Kodak to repair film.

Actually, it was discovered accidentally. It wasn't something they were trying to develop for a specific purpose.

I know it was used in medicine, and that's documented in the articles I've seen this week, but I was surprised to learn the origin. I had thought it was originally developed for medicine. I seem to recall that being the story I read on rmr ~10 years ago.
