I’m interested too. Especially Bob Kaplow, since he discussed some 3D printed parts at NARAM. I’d love to hear more about Cineroc or Camroc “cases” that could house a modern keychain camera, if that is what he is presenting.

Sorry to disappoint again, but he's headed in a different direction with his talk. Actually, he's not even the club's 3d printing expert.

The first organizational meeting was held in November of 2005, a few months after I moved to McHenry County. My previous club, the Northern Illinois Rocketry Association (NIRA) was over an hour away and I didn't want to keep driving that far to meet and fly. So I founded the Fox Valley Rocketeers.

Thanks Mark. No worries.

By any chance is Bob maybe working on the next generation Kaplow Klips?

I plan to attend NIRCON and have printed/made two versions of the Cineroc using keychain cameras and a Camroc as well, along with a few externally mounted camera sleds. I can bring them along and you can take a look during lunch/break time if you are interested.

I won’t be attending, but perhaps you could post information here at some point? Sounds very interesting.

I hope to be there--if I can get home from a job in NH in time. If I do make it, I have an opened #1969 SV kit if anyone would like to see and touch what's in the box. Should I bother to bring it, or does everyone have one by now?

Sure, why not.

Default A thought for NIRCON

A thought for the NIRCON organizers...

Since many of us that attend NIRCON are denizens here online --- any thoughts on maybe a sticker we could add under our NIRCON name sticker with our online handle(s)? Names don't always line up with handles...

You're certainly welcome to bring along another name tag with your YORF handle.

Personally, though it's old fashioned, I like knowing somebody's "real" name vs. their handle. My $0.02 and YMMV.
