Default Q Modeling shutting down until April, 2012

I was just on the Q Modeling site and apparently their shop was pretty much trashed by flooding and they are shutting things down until they can rebuild. Pretty brutal deal and I feel bad for those guys. Hopefully they can get things back up and running by April. They make some killer kits. So here's a shout out to those guys! We're pulling for you!

Here's a link to their homepage to see pics of the damage:

With a loss like this it is hard. I wish all the best during the rebuilding project, and surely a ton of patience along with that. Look forward to seeing QModelling in the early part of next year.

It's all my fault--I've been waiting for a #1/beta of a kit they've had in the development pipeline for over 2 years now, and it looked like they were finally going to release it at NY Power this summer. Sure enough, while they were waiting for decals and instructions, along comes Irene . The curse of this kit apparently has some serious mojo behind it.

Has anyone heard from Q-Modelling lately? They were trying to come back by April but their website still says they are trying to get back by April. I hope they make it back soon!

Although they still have a "banner ad" here on YORF (WHY, I cannot even fathom to understand after being defunct for FIVE YEARS), I don't know of any company that has been "coming soon" since 2012 that has actually done anything almost 5 years later.
That is a MAJOR STRETCH of "coming soon" even in the automotive industry which notoriously has long times from concept to design to production. These are simple products, that should be from concept to market literally in weeks.
Their kits were nice for the VERY short time they lasted; I think PDR, Hawk's Hobby, and Rocketpad lasted much longer.
I think we are now dealing with pure Vaporware.
There is one cardinal axiom in business that always should be followed and NEVER violated-
UNDER Promise and OVER Deliver in any and all circumstances. Violate that one key axiom and NO good ever comes of it; at BEST you irritate/annoy loyal customers, most often you lose some of them forever.
