Default Squirrel Works' JX-1

Engine Mount's glued in. Body Tube marked for masking, primer soon.
The fin design looks soooo good on the art card!
The decals are strong and simple, I can't wait.

Good to see some Squirrel Works coverage. I have my eyes on the Liberator and the Interstellar Probe...

Default Pre-Filleting.

Geeze, I'm really fond of this design. It's simple, yet complex. Those two Forward Tanks are just awesome.

Surprised the fins aren't one piece and the pod tubes slotted. Wonder if running the fins through the slots would: a) create more drag, b) transmit more stress on impact - less "give" on deflection? Looks awesome regardless.

C'mon, Scott, slotted tubes'd be too easy! Irregardless of the increased drag, what fun'd it be if one didn't get to measure and glue along the pods? (I bet it keeps kit costs down too, all while ampin'-up the Fun Factor.)
I'm confused, a bit, as to why I had to break 2 fins off and reattach them, even when using my jig. It was a bit frustrating; a torn up root edge is visible in a photo.
Looking more closely at the fore-tank fins, it looks like I managed to sand one shorter than the other. Good Grief! I'll just keep my fingers crossed, and understand that it'll work out fine with fillets and paint. I'll get the Next One proper.

I've always liked this retro sci-fi design! Right up there with the Spacecruiser FFE.
