Default "New" Estes Blast Off Flight Pack (BOFP)

Contents remain the same, but they finally updated the photo of the igniter and wadding packets usually contained inside. I say "usually" because some of them have plain packs instead of the normal retail packs inside - I'll assume because that's what was on hand that day.

All wording remains the same, simply moved around a bit and they added a big website URL on one side of the box.

Same mix of motors. Mine were dated sometime in the spring of 09 (I did not memorize the exact date and they are now buried in my motor hoard), so that gives you an approximate cut-in date for the new box.

Just got one the other day as well. I hadn't ordered one for years, so I didn't know the "new" look was brand new

Well, DaveR turned me on to a little sale one of our local hobby shops was having. Apparently, they must have opened up a B6-0/B6-6 blast pak and was selling the motors and igniters and plugs packaged separately. Four each B6-0 and B6-6 in a zip lock bag, with igniters, for $4.99. I bought three packs (total of 24 motors). Left six more packs hanging on the pegs until next payday or unless Dave buys up the rest before me. The funny thing is that just above these were the blister packs of motors and a pack of three B6-6 motors was priced at $8.97. Go figure.

Riiight, they said that those motors came from a bulk pack... So they must be OK, right? Right? They are all from a couple of boxes that "just broke open" when they "fell off the back of the truck."

P.S. Just yanking your chain...
