Mini Mars Lander
I'm building the Estes Mini Mars Lander kit #0881. I can't find the nose weight, does anyone know how much it weighs or if you have the kit maybe weigh the nose cone. This is not the rtf kit. Thanks

Not to hack your thread, but I really think we should put together a list of all the nose weights but kit. I mean we have a list of all body tube lengths and stock numbers.

It uses a single disc lead weight...I thought those were only about 0.25 ounces or about 7 grams.

Quote:
12g - 4g = 8g so your 7g is within a gram.

Here's a Estes lead weight I found in an box o' parts-
https://modelrocketbuilding.blogspo...comparison.html In the 1971 Estes catalog they were listed at .12 oz. - http://www.ninfinger.org/rockets/ca.../711est138.html A pat of Estes clay weight is (currently) right around .25 oz. https://modelrocketbuilding.blogspo...ocket-kits.html

More than you probably want to know about the original Estes "NCW-1":
