Default National model rocket day

How to celibrate 9 years in manufacturing? That is the question I went to my distributors and some hobby shops with. After overloading my brain cell we came to this conclusion. National Model Rocket Day. To be held May 1 2010 After the NERSHA show but before school gets out. for this endevor we made a special kit with a special price to get as many kids to build and fly rockets. The full information is on our web site.

If there is no hobby shop let the local Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts 4H Church groups etc know. There are about 350 BSA councles alone. Kinda hard to make rockets and send out hundreds of email invites.

We just got a mess of NAR information application flyers to add to the kits. Maybe we can help get more young blood into NAR.

Didn't we have a national rocket day some years ago? I started it but I guess it didn't go anywhere.

So far I know of a couple dozen hobby shops I talked to on board. Plus 4 distributors working on the project and so far Ive got a few dozen (Boy and Girl) Scout councles interested not to mention some church youth groupsa and a couple 4H groups.
I made 1,000 zippys so far and I need to make ALOT more.

They don;t list the A6-4 as one of the recommended motors. And what about A8-5, B4-4, B6-6 ???

And a blurb about this would be nice:

In many countries, May Day is synonymous with International Workers' Day, or Labor Day, a day of political demonstrations and celebrations organized by the unions and socialist groups.

Seems with 365 days in the year we could have picked one that wasn't taken already. I always think of May 1st as a Communist Holiday.

Aside from that, I love the idea.
