You beat me to it. I was just going to post this.

No reason was given. He did say it was not due to his wife's cancer coming back, although that would be reason enough.

This is sad news no matter what the reason. He ran a good business. I never had one time when he didn't give me great service.

Wow, that's a real bummer. Mark had great customer service, and high quality decals. He did a number of custom jobs for me, StickerShock will be missed! Hope he's doing OK.

I have had the pleasure to see Mark in person and discuss historical events in consumer rocketry. Besides making decals, he flew lots of HPR rockets, worked for Aerotech, and many other adventures. I have considered closing U.S. Rockets several times but people keep asking for the product. I suppose I will die with a body tube and a centering ring in my hand, but I will keep the propellant business going through apprentices that are now fully trained and running fast and hard.

God speed Mark.

Just Jerry

Anybody want to buy a running kit operation?

I have nothing but great things to say about Mark! I have Stickershock vinyl waiting for my Estes Honest John, V-2, and Scion. All top quality stuff but here’s the kicker...last year or so ago he asked for a volunteer to send him a rocket for use in an instructional video on using his new at the time vinyl sheets. I volunteered, not thinking he’d have any interest in wrapping an Estes PSII E2X Mammoth, but evidently I was one of the very few who contacted him. We emailed back and forth, came up with a design, and right before I started packing the rocket for shipment...somebody else stepped up with a larger diameter rocket. After watching the video I understand why. Much easier to demo his process on a larger body tube. But guess what, since he’d already printed the wrap he sent it to me for the cost of shipping. That my friends is exceptional customer service.

And, by the way, he was right. As nice as the Mammoth turned out the larger diameter rocket he used in the video worked much better as a demo. Hopefully we haven’t permanently lost a great resource like Mark and Stickershock.

Take care Mark.

Good news (maybe). Mark posted that he is taking some time off to rethink things and make some major changes. Here's hoping that Stickershock23 returns!

I checked his Facebook posts and it indeed sounds like a temporary break rather than I complete going out of business. Sounds like he just needs some time away.

I sure hope he comes back - or if not he sells the business to someone who can do it justice going forward.
