Default New Semroc kits

Hello all,

Anyone notice the new Semroc kits?

I imagine that they were discussed at NARCON but for those of us who weren't there...

Blue Jay
http://www.erockets.biz/semroc-flyi...blue-jay-kc-03/
(looks like an Edmonds Deltie?)

Maple Seed
http://www.erockets.biz/semroc-flyi...ple-seed-ka-35/

Centurion F (I think it's new?)
http://www.erockets.biz/semroc-flyi...turion-f-ka-33/

There may be others, I'm a little out of sync on Semroc..

Enjoy

Dan

The first two you list are new, but the Centurion F has been around for about 5 years. It was one of Carl's last designs, I believe.

Interesting, a 29mm kit designed for Estes F15 BP motors. Also includes 24mm adapter and recommends D12 and E12.

I'm not overtly excited about just flying single-stage F15s, but the idea of 2-stage F powered BP rockets is definitely intriguing.

I think the all-wood stands are new also.

That picture of the Blue Jay leaves me completely uncertain of what the rocket actually is. How about a decent still pic?

I flew my Centurion F last May.

Flew BEAUTIFULLY on a F15-6.

And utterly, totally disappeared into the sagebrush.

Kind of heart-broken and not sure if I'll buy another.

I remember Carl flying the maple seed at NARAM 54 trying to work out the bugs. He wasn't able to get the parts to spin like maple seeds. Apparently Randy got it working.

Was this the one in Muskegon in 2012? I remember Carl working on that. That was also the last time I got to see him.
