Default Estes Mad Science Rocket

This decal has four fin decals that would be an exact match for the Generic E2X kit, the same fin can used in the sky writer,

#2026 Athena (1990-1998)
#2042 America (1991-1992)
#2076 Pegasus (1994-1996)
Lancer, Scorpion starter set (2000-2001) and Mongoose.

Extensive online searching of Mad Science reveals nothing, a different rocket from another company shows up in searches. I would like to clone this if I can find anything. Assuming the decals were for a rocket, which seems likely, does anyone have an image or any information about this rocket?

the only reference I could find was to a sheet of stickers on Ebay that was titled 'Estes Mad science educational program'. if this was part of an Estes education pack , then I would guess that the generic e2x would be the rocket intended.

You might want to contact the people at this link:

http://www.madscience.org/

They used to do rocket demos using Estes kits, although now I think they do the demos with water and stomp powered rockets.

You will notice their logo is the same as the one on the sticker sheet.

I vaguely remember the rocket they originally used was more like the Estes Omloid E2X, not the Generic E2X.

From what you can see here https://web.archive.org/web/2000081...chool/index.htm
it looks like the Estes Omloid as mentioned earlier.

Thanks for digging, the stickers are small for an Omloid and the Omloid fins were swept. I will bet they are for a version of an E2X and maybe there is one n the wild.

Just a bump from anyone visiting here on the weekend, looking for an image of the estes rocket with the decals from post 1 applied, either an original or on any promotional material, thank if you can help.

I found this image at worthpoint (some kind of auction or auction archive site).

The decals are on a Generic E2X like rocket as I guessed. Unfortunately no bag or instructions for it in the listing.
