Default Original Fliss Alien 8 kit info?

Hi guys, anyone know what a ball park price is for an Original Alien 8 signed and in the bag before they had to change the name or something? I cant remember what was up with that, but I remmember hearing about have to rename the kit, and then the last of the line was signed and put in the bags.

I found mine in my Rocket Lair I have been re-arranging and selling duplicate kits and kits I will never build like this one.

If my memory serves me correctly, the Alien 8 was originally called Farscape. There was a TV show out at the time also titled Farscape. Due to some copyright issues, I believe Jim had to rename the kit, which I believe became the Alien 8.

The Farscape became the Night Whisper. The Alien 8 is a different model.

John, did the Alien 8 have a round 4-6 inch circular disk with a about a 2 inch hole, near the base tail section?

OK, yes now I remember. SO the Alien eight never did have to be renamed, so only thing about my find is that its signed.

The kit has a Klingon type disk in the middle and used ping pong balls on the tubes for an original look. Art

I think the Alien 8 is the Shrox design. http://www.fliskits.com/products/ro...tail/alien8.htm

Yep , that's it. So being signed really isn't anything that special so its worth about $25 after Hagglin' ???

Art,

If it's a signed FlisKits Alien8, check the production number (hand written. Umber on the face card). If it's a single digit it could be worth more as the low numbered kits seem to be popular. FWIW we number the first 100 kits we make of any new kit and I sign the first 10.

Lastly, yes the Alien8 is Shrox' design, manufactured with permission. We made some design changes, all approved by Shrox! Before producing it. It has never had a name change.

Hope this helps
Jim
