Yep, the mid-sized TP ML is 29mm powered.

I'm looking for the F-baby H powered one.

I don't remember offhand what the recommended motors are for the 2X, but it has a 38mm mount. It's still in kit form in the attic, but I'm fairly certain a 38mm J is too long for it.

A single grain 76mm J might be short enough and since the balsa nose cone is about 3" in diameter, the 2X Lander could be built around a short 76mm mount. Sure would be tail heavy with it though. I have never seen a 54mm motor in person, commercial or EX and have no idea how long a 54mm J would be. We skipped from 38mm right to 76mm because we couldn't source any 54mm aluminum at a reasonable cost back then and we exclusively flew EX ourselves.

Jim turned a single grain 76mm (pretty sure ours were 76mm instead of 75mm) casing to test propellant long before that size became available commercially. Best I remember, Ron Urinsco was the only person using that size back in those days, or at least the only person getting written about in the HPR rag. I don't recall any of us ever using it in a rocket after we were done static testing with it. All the 76mm rockets we had were too big for it. Our largest static test was a 76mm M3000. We did a single firing on my farm since Jim lived a little too close to his neighbors. Even with the buffer of my farm, several of my neighbors called in plane crashes and car wrecks. Jim built motors well into the N range, but that amount of propellant was too expensive to waste on a static test. The math was good and all Jim's N flights were successful.

Wow...I just made a left turn and kept going.

If neighbors are calling in plane crashes and car wrecks, I call that a good test with JUST ENOUGH SOUND factor.
No, I'm not kidding.

Just to play it safe, I have posted "0" quantities on on the launch sets listed on my web site.

Yesterday, at my post office, I had a package to ship and I hadn't sealed it shut.

My postmistress looked inside and pulled out a boxed kit from the package and told me, "I'm just checking to make sure there are no rocket motors in the package."

Honestly, I didn't even think about that.

I respected her due indigents and changed the quantities to "0".

I'm not sure what I will do with them but I won't risk shipping them.

I will have them for sale for pick up only. If anyone is interested contact me via PM or email .

They seem to be working on a fiber optics cable on the main road in front of my house.

My internet seems to be coming and going so I closed my web site down temporarily.

You had the TP ML gone from website before I even looked at it. Really wanted that one.
Guess I'll get one from TP.

It wasn't really gone, I just left the quantity at zero until I figured a price.

I'll let it go at $60.

A real bargain.

You do know that it's an incomplete kit.

I just opened the "store", get it before things go bad again.

Looks pretty complete to me. I'd have to get my 7.67" version out to compare.

I thought so, but without a BOM I can't tell. There is a butt load of parts!

There are no instructions.

tbzeb or anyone else, I have a question. There is a 3" tube that is a section of Uline mailing tube. Years ago I made a bunch of cones for Tom Prestia to fit a 4" Uline mailing tube.

So, is the 3" tube supposed to be there?

If it needs to be replaced with a PML tube, PML is just down the road from me.

Edfit, oh well, while I was typing somebody bought it...never-mind!

I'll try to remember to pull mine out for a look if I get home early enough tonight. I'm thinking the instructions are just Estes instructions with some notes, but I haven't looked at mine in years, so I might be mistaken.
