Talking RockSim on Linux

OK everyone, this is to let you know that I've finally got RockSim 9.0.9.87 running on Ubuntu 10.04, under WINE Beta. In fact, I'm sending this post from the same Linux box, using the (native Linux) Chromium browser.

I pulled down the Exoteria file as a test, and it opened without a hitch.

So, to make it clear what I'm doing, I'm running the Windows version of RockSim 9.0.9.87 (latest build) under WINE (recent beta version) on a Ubuntu 10.04 installation. The machine is NOT a fancy 64-bit machine, either, but is actually a 9-year-old 1 GHz (original) Athlon system with a half-GB of ram. The mobo is from Jetway. This configuration is quite zippy for such an old machine. It even feels as fast if not a tad faster than my Athlon 3200+ machine with 2 GB of ram and Win7 Pro.
